Chapters Counseling and treatment Centre is a modern centre located in a serene environment
in Makongeni, off Kangundo Road Kamulu.
The home away from home is duly registered with all the relevant bodies and is run by
accredited professionals, psychologists, doctors, and other professional disciplines.

bodies, minds and spirit
We are a treatment centre that believes in holistic treatment of people living with
substance use disorders and mental illnesses. We believe people living with SUDs and Mental

Yoga

The first recorded gymnasiums date back to over 3000 years ago in ancient Persia, where they were known as zurkhaneh, areas that encouraged physical fitness.
Dance Therapy
Dance Therapy was first used with psychiatric patients and war veterans, first called “Dance for Communication” was the start of a new mental health profession, which would eventually be known as dance movement therapy.
Indoor & Outdoor Games
Chess is a proven way to improve memory function. The longest official game of chess took place in 1989 that went on for 20 hours and included 269 moves

Residential treatment program
At chapters counseling and treatment centre we ran a 90-day inpatient therapeutic program. However the duration of your stay may vary due to the severity of your addiction and/or personal circumstances.

Intensive outpatient treatment program
This is a tailor-made program for individuals who need treatment but do not require the additional support and safety that the residential treatment provides.

psychometric assessment
Psychometric testing refers to the process of measuring a person's relevant strengths and weaknesses. This form of measurement is primarily employed to assess a person's aptitude, personality factors, level of dysfunction of possible mental illness, cognitive functioning, memory and/or IQ.This helps the psychologist come up with an individualised treatment plan based on the results of the assessment.

Managing Director
An exemplary leader who is passionate about the restoration and redemption of people living with substance use disorders through treatment and sports. He has over 12 years experience working in treatment centres and over 20 years experience in sports.
Peninah Wanjiku Kinyanjui
Operations Director
An administration expert with 10 years experience in the medical and counselling field. She is a vibrant mental health ambassador with a passion for women and youth empowerment.
Igamba John
Clinical Psychiatrist.
A seasoned Clinical Psychiatrist with 9 years experience. He heads the Clinical department at Chapters Counselling and Treatment Centre. He also doubles up as a part time lecturer at KMTC Murang\'a Campus and runs a private practice at Innerspace mental health Clinic.
